We haven't been able to get the new link put on our homepage yet, but there is now a hawk blog. The hawk migration hasn't fully kicked in yet, but John has been doing a great job with it. It can currently be linked to out of any of the other WPBO blogs, including this one. After having a couple of nights off due to wind and rain, last night was our best yet this season. We banded 15 Saw-whets and also caught 3 that were previously banded somewhere else! No more Boreals yet, although we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of more. The above shot is from last spring. A Boreal we banded perched silhouetted by the moon after we released it. I told a few visiting Brits who follow the blog I would post it.........hope you guys still check the blog & thanks for the Euros. It's nice to be getting comments on our posts, thanks for sending them. It was very cool to see a comment from Keith Bagnall and Wendy King who many of you know from their seasons here as the fall owl banders.
