It seems like the weather has decided to calm down a bit and give us a nice stretch of beautiful days. The owls seem to be appreciating it, and we have captured 91 Saw-whet Owls in the last 5 days. It is somewhat typical for us to start seeing larger numbers of Saw-whets at the end of May, and thus we continue to think that it is an early year in general for the migrants. The trees are leafing out, and there are beautiful flowers on the Serviceberry trees. All in all, a wonderful time to be at the Point!
