No owls have been banded or seen since our last post. We did have a little rain during the pre-dawn hours of the 22nd, but other than that, weather has not hindered our efforts so far this season. Even though the owls have been absent, we aren't the only nocturnal creatures out and about. It seems the extra moisture and warmer temperatures have put amphibians on the prowl. We found four species last night - Eastern Toad, Spring Peeper, Blue-spotted Salamander and Green Frog.
