The 2nd season of our summer owl research has been going extremely well. We began on July 1st, and as of August 4th we have banded 509 owls; 508 Northern Saw-whets and 1 Long-eared. Four hundred and forty nine of the Saw-whets have been juveniles.
This is unreal the among of NSWO's being banded .Are you setting up at one or two locations,or do you wander the State looking for Owls.We hope to get one of yours here in Central Ontario, and in turn will capture one of our few that we catch each year.Could this possible be an Uptrend year for the NSWO's?
